After age 50 it's extremly difficult, and you have to work twice as hard for the same results But there used to be a guy competing in body building events that was 83.

If you can build muscle mass at 83, I would say that outside of death, you will always be able to build muscle.

Agreed, never, but around age 30 you start to increase internal fat around the organs and your metabolism decreases, so it becomes more difficult but marginally so year on year
