Exodus 33:21 - 23 says...

21 Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.

22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."

I do not believe that Moses saw the "physical" back-side of God... Rather, I suspect that what he saw was the effect that Gods passing had on nature itself.

Now friend I see you are trying to trick some people, I am aware of what you will say, God showed Moses his hinder parts, NOW listern, That does not mean his rear end, God is a spirit, No man has seen God at anytime, He is always shown in a pillar of fire or a cloud, What Moses Saw was the back of God's head in the spirit form, in that burning Bush. Now If I mis judged you on your question forgive me, But I have seen many trick questions in my 37 yrs of serving God

Does this provide evidence that God has a human image? God is a spirit perhaps which has an image of a human whom he created to be like him. Lucky us. We are not monkeys, elephants or even the angel with wings and many eyes. Or an angel with 4 faces.

His back. Some feel this is symbolic of us not knowing where He is going but being able to tell where He has been. I think both are true. He saw the back and the symbolism is sound as well.

According to Judaism "God" does not have a face, or a body of any kind. "God" is an essence, without gender, without form.

Thumbs-downers: your ignorance is showing.

Look it up yourself.
