WOW, what is with all the hostility towards a trained dog? Let's say this guy is real. First of all, your dog needs to be evaluated for potential in protection work. Most dogs DO NOT have what it takes for this kind of job. This is what the breeders of what once was a dog that was bred for protection have done to them. And then everyone wonders why people have to go to Europe and get their dogs and pay thousands of dollars. IF your dog has the proper temperament for the work, he can then be trained, depending upon his age. Bite work is a long complicated process that I do not care to get into here because I have no idea who is reading this. You will ned to find someone in your area who is CAPABLE of doing this. Most trainers are not. Be very careful who you trust this training with because if it is done wrong, you will have a problem. I will close by saying that there are ONLY two reasons why a protection trained dog should engage a human, 1, the dog is told to and 2, the handler is being assaulted. That is it, PERIOD. A correctly trained dog is not a a menace to society. And contrary to what people here have said, a WELL TRAINED protection dog is a pleasure to be around. He is predictable and you know when and why he will bite. Can you say that about a pet? And everyone who says that their dogs will die to protect them are living in a fantasy world. A dog that has not been properly TESTED AND TRAINED will most likely run away fro a serious threat. Only a dog that has been inculcated in the art of defense will act on his training and defend his handler. Good luck with your dog

The last thing you want to do, is make a dog aggressive. It's great that your dog hasn't bitten anyone yet , but if you turn him into an aggressive dog, he will probably start biting. As far as being lazy, what do you mean by lazy? Can you provide more details about why you think he's lazy. He may be bored! Does he have lots of toys to play with? Do you spend time playing with him? Do you take him for walks? Are you sure he's not sick? What breed of dog do you have and how old is it? If you can please provide more details, then maybe we can help you a little better.

YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!

The last thing you want to do is make a dog aggressive!!! I think you want a fighting dog. You don't want a pet, you want something that can make you money!! If you make your dog more aggressive, then he'll more then likely bite someone, and if he does, they can sue you for possession of the dog, emotional and/or physical damage, get a court order to put the dog to sleep, make you pay hospital/doctor bills. To make a dog more aggressive is one the most retarded things I've ever heard of!!

If I'm wrong(imagine that!), then if you want him to be less lazy, you need to not be as lazy and take him outside for a walk, and play with him a little, and try training him some. If he's an older dog, then leave him alone. He won't have the energy or the strength to do much of anything.

People are trying to make dogs less aggressive, so they can be kept as pets, and you're wanting to make one MORE aggressive. What the hell are you on, and is it safe for a sane person to take? If so, where can I get some???

Ugh. I dispise owners like this. Your dog doesn't need to bite anyone to gaurd your house and home. If you had a giant Great Dane, and someone walked into your yard and saw it running at them, i am sure they would be scared enough. There is no reason the dog should have to bite them.

If something did happen, and there was an intruder in you house, I am sure the dog would step up to protect you and your family. But training the dog to be agressive? There are enough problems with agressive dogs. I am not sure if your familiar with Breed Specific Legislation, but it's owners who train their dogs to be agressive that cause laws like this to come into effect.

Firstly i ought to remedy the truth that you look it's only 'bull' breeds which are puppy competitive and assault consultant/assistant puppies WELL evidently darling you have not been out the residence in a even as due to the fact that its obviously no longer simply bull breeds which are competitive (have you ever ever researched golden retriever assaults?). I have eight puppies (two of them occur to be Staffordshire BULL Terriers and a couple of are Staffordshire BULL Terrier crosses) I have not ever had a drawback with them being puppy/human or animal competitive so please do not plaster the entire breed pink simply due to the fact that a couple of have puppy aggression. People who've puppy competitive puppies will have to take the right precautions reminiscent of muzzling, broad coaching and potential of learn how to handel their puppy, they will have to additionally bring circular a holiday persist with them so they are able to minimise any assaults if the puppy manages to get lose out of the muzzle. Some persons truthfully do not know their puppy is competitive, what if they've simply rescued it from the pound and the puppy used to be assessed however they did not uncover any aggression then the puppy used to be re homed and abruptly grew to be competitive? Saying 'oh my puppy is simplest puppy competitive' is a suitable style of behaviour, what do you anticipate persons to do? rattling their puppies to hell due to the fact that they occur not to like different puppies? abuse them, kill them abandon them WHAT? i might instead preserve a puppy competitive puppy than it's euthanized. Surely you might as good for those who in which a puppy lover? I consider sure its the house owners fault from time to time however no longer regularly if you understand for definite your puppy is puppy competitive then definite take the security measures but when you do not know then there's no strategy to hinder what is going to occur! EVERY puppy bites no longer simply bully breeds so i consider you will have to keep in mind that subsequent time you opt for a rant like this!!! If you learn into a real bully breed you're going to recognize that if socialised (the SAME AS ANY DOG) they WILL be well with different animals.

Rather than attempt to train your dog (ie: end up traumatizing it) yourself, take it to a dog training school that specifically is geared towards training guard and attack dogs.
Doing this sort of behaviour modification yourself, isnt recommended - as you dont want to cause suffering or be cruel to your pet, even with the best intentions in mind. Let professionals take it through the training programs.
:)

Well I hope you don't beat him up because he may well turn on you and bite you in the butt.
Seriously, if you want a protective dog take him to obedience classes and hopefully he will turn out to be a good doggy. Oh, and don't forget to feed him.
