I use some product and a good straight iron.
Depending on what kind of hair you have, you have to choose which product will work the best for you.
I have wavy hair, almost curly, that frizzes so badly in the humidity!
I recommened Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Hair Serum.
Chi flat irons are one of the best, but they're rather expensive.
I just use a cheap one from Sally beauty.

Look for one that has ceramic or porcelain plates. Metal plates will fry your hair. Also look for one with adjustable heat setting. Everyone's hair is different and some need more heat than others.
I have 2 (both cost about $30 each) and they work wonderfully. The one my hair dresser users is even faster, but their price ranges are closer to $100.
I hope that helps, good luck.

I get the same kind the professionals use, its the only way to go its about $75, you can't get a good cheap straightener it will not work good, you get what you paid for, if you decide you can spend the money ( they last forever) get a Helen of Troy Gold Series Ceramic Straightener! Good LUck!

Wal-Mart has a GREAT cheap hair straightener. It's by Andis. It's about $15. I've had it for over 2 years and it still works great. I love it. But if you are willing to spend more money I would go with Chi. I've never personally used them but a friend of mine has and she loves it.

there is a Revlon one that you can buy for like $20.. but you'll be replacig it every few months. if you are willing to invest in a flat iron say go with the Chi or Fhi... also, there is one sold at kiasks in malls that is pretty good. i have a chi and it's lasted for years... it helps straighten and smooth my frizzy, curly hair.
you might want to try searching ebay bc they usually have a big selection and the prices arent too crazy. good luck!

cheap ones are usually the ones that dont do squat for you. If you want a good one you have to spend some money buddy. I found a 30 dollar one at Sally's beauty supply and it works for my urban hair.
