The Absolute best color treated hair shampoo/conditioner you will probably find at a beauty salon. Aveda, Redkin, Bumble and Bumble etc. These are products that are sold in hair salons and can be pricey but i think these work the best for color treated (as well as any) type of hair. If you are in a rut for money i would say that Herbal Essence or Aussie would be your best bet and you can find these products pretty much anywhere. DO NOT resort to using Suave or cheap $1 shampoos or conditioners, these products might smell good but they are not good for your hair. Some brands, for example Suave, actually strip your hair of color after prolonged or even short term useage. Hair dressers will tell you this also.

You can always go to a salon that has a hair consultant and ask them what shampoo is best for your hair. You can also find a friend who is a hair dresser or ask someone that knows a lot about hair what your type of hair should use.

I love the newer line of Pantene Restoratives. I use both the Tome Renwal and Breakage Defense lines and they're great. Hair stays soft, not all dry and brittle, and seems much healthier than before I started using it a few months ago.

The shampoo and conditioner are about $6 each tube which I find very reasonable and you don't have to go to the salon to get it.

Someone got me trial sizes of the "So Sexy" shampoo & conditioner for dry hair for Christmas and I really liked it. Smells good and seems to leave my SUPER over-processed hair looking and feeling healthy. I don't know how much it retails for though; probably too much...LOL...and I like my $6 Pantene a lot!

Neutragena is an excellent product both for their shampoos and conditioners. They have 2 different conditioners out for colour treated hair. One for everyday use, and another 60 second intense conditioner. Both are excellent.

Their products are a little on the pricey side, but I think their worth it.

I hope that helps. :)

My favorite product is by Pantene. They have so many different formulas for any hair type. My natural color is dark brown, but now I am a chestnut blonde(Dark n Lovely) and I use Pantene's Red expressions because my hair color is light a red. I also have chemically straightened hair. This product makes my hair so shiny and healthy looking and very manageable. These products are very affordable. You can also try Lo real Color Vive.
