I recently started askin advice about this guy I was dating..It turns out his ex-gf called me last night from his phone and told me he wants to be with her.. not me and for me to stop calling him and stuff.. but when I asked to hear it from him... he wouldn't say it. He couldn't even talk to me on the phone. I know he likes me, they have 2 kids together and he doesnt want to worry about paying child support, and she uses them against him, saying he can't see them if he doesnt do what she wants...so he's taking the easy way out and just giving in and being with her. She has cheated on him a lot, and she treats him very badly... but he will do anything to be able to be in his kids lives. Because hes a truck driver and on the road all the time, they won't award custody to him... so he doesn't know what else to do. I feel bad that he is so insecure with himself that he doesnt think he deserves better than this. He is a great guy who deserves someone who treats him well. How can I tell him?

I wish that there was an easy answer to this one . When kids are involved things get trick and you have to watch what you say or it may blow up in your face . As another person said you can offer your advice as a friend and not a lover and tell him he needs to figure things out for himself and that you will not stand in his way and you will be there for him . Remember he has kids with this woman so she will always be in his and your life because of this but like the saying says if you love something set it free . You can't compete with kids .

Good luck

That decision is up to him. You should be able to talk to him and tell him you opinion, but if you try to convince him and he leaves, he may resent you for it later. He is a big boy, let him make up his own mind. And why are you with a person who has a relationship and children in the first place??? I would just stay away.
