You can all be mad, but I think Im right. Yell all you want ok?

Question

I have come to the conclusion that NOT ALL, but A LOT of women have children due to the following :

1. Bored out of their minds with themselves.
2. Feel this is "their duty" as a wife.
3. Were sold a bag of goods by the church to procreate.
4. Think it will always be "rosy" and "fun" to be a mom.
5. Competing with all the other women they see with kids.
6. Pressured by family, friends.

Now, I am not saying these are all true, but don't sit here and tell me you don't know a lot of people who thought like this, or did had children cause of these reasons.
I have the right to my opinion.

I'll agree. It doesn't apply to alot of women but I know plenty who fall into all of those categories. Oh, you left out Gold Digger.

well not really, some are accidents the only ones i can really agree with is statement 2,4,6 the other ones i believe are wrong but mostly there it becoz the female is lonely or they think tht if they loose there man/husband the only way they can have a piece of them is by having there(men) child tht way they can have a piece of them forever. others reason could be becoz some females cant have kids so they have other ones carry it for them, others reason could be becoz of lack of bith control! those are more reasonable answer then the ones you have but mostly it depends on the female! females who are poor have kids because of lack of money and/or for birthcontrol or condoms etc..(also they might want more money from government funds) middle class are usually from accidents,or they want the experience of motherhood, or wanting a child from just being lonley or attachment personal issue to there spouse or using pregantence as a reason to fill in a missing space in there life, upper class falls with you statement 2,Feel this is "their duty" as a wife4, Think it will always be "rosy" and "fun" to be a mom 6,Pressured by family, friends and just because tht the sterotype once you get marreid buy a house then you have kids so like i said depends on the female! do the reasearch!

I am a mother of 5 and none of your thoughts were part of it. All I ever wanted to be since I was a child...was a mother. I love my children even for their faults and any mother would tell you that they feel the same with their children. My opinion is that you really have NO clue and you just want to see a reaction that you will get. Also, your # 1-6...Where did you get that? Noone I have ever met and known has ever said anyone of those pertaining to being a mother.

I know a lot of people are going to down-thumb and/or tar-and- feather me for this, but I have to agree with you. Granted, I don't have kids of my own. Yet nonetheless I have had people preaching to me all six of the above commandments. And to be honest with you, I don't think everyone should be a parent. Maybe they're not cut out for it, or simply can't afford it. I myself have been barely able to make ends meet, so why would I bring a child into the world if I can't afford to feed and clothe it? I'm secure in that and have no regrets.

I believe this is true for a lot of women - especially unmarried women who have kids because their friends do. My cousin and my best friend had kids out of wedlock right after I got married and had my first child. So I believe #5 is a big reason.

First of all women don't get bored this urge to have children is a God given inkling , we are nestors and want a family to take care of, usually it's the men that get wild hairs and screw up families one example is making comments such as yours.

There is something in a woman that feels lacking until she has children. It takes a child to make a woman feel fulfilled.

Ask any barren woman and she craves children. If she doesn't have children, she throws herself into a career to squash this feeling. Quite often even the career doesn't help.

yeah your missing a really important bullet point there, how about ensuring the human race survives? its genetically built in for women and men to want children, thats why they are attracted to each other, they choose a person who they feel suitable to procreate with..

I think it's important to note that some women do things simply because they lack a logical thought process. Also, most women are simply crazy (and by crazy, I mean absolutely nuts... psycho, insane!).
