Lol, did you just finish watching the movie on tv?
I have tried them before, I went to the Orig. whistle stop cafe and tried them, I liked them so much I got the mix. I personally dont make them very well, but they are pretty great.

No they do not taste anything alike. I love fried eggplant but not so much on the tomatoes they are ok though and it doesn't hurt to try them but I would never make them for myself or buy them. Also I love regular ripe tomatoes I can eat them just like that with a little salt on them.

Yeah, we had them when I worked at Captain D's. (It's just like Long John Silvers incase you don't know what that is!) Anyways, their not bad...probably because they're fried. Because I usually hate tomatoes!! lol We served them with ranch...that always make's thing taste better too =).

I have asked myself that same question. That is before I actually ate one. They are a bit like fried Zucchini, but tart in taste. My mother-in-law makes them really yummy, mine however come out soggy,

My dad loved them. Me, I'm a chicken. There is also green tomato pie which tastes like apple pie which is stupid, why not just have apple pie?

I believe so, but I prefer normal red tomatoes, sliced, in olive oil with a bit of I thinks its goat cheese, on top... oh, and I think cilantro...

Frying tomatoes seems kind of silly - kills the vitamins, adds the grease.
