I haven't used it, but I certainly wouldn't trust it. If they do what they say, they have money going out with no obvious source of money going in. How can they possibly not lose money if they're paying people to answer questions without charging them to ask? Not to mention that I've seen it advertised by trolls and spammers, which makes it look a lot less credible.

BTW, any particular reason you've posted this in the infectious diseases category? I think you'd have done better to post it in a subcategory of Computers and Internet.

When this question was first posted, MyLot was relatively new. It became one of the most reliable discussion sites around and was noted for always paying on time and every time. It was free to use but was able to pay because it made money from its advertising revenue and shared that with its users. It became a popular site with many regular users.

In May 2013, however, it changed it's format, closed its earnings program and became a free to use discussion site which permits a limited amount of personal advertising. Many of its regular users left and it and it is now not at all the site it was.
