On what software or program does the files with an extension of .avi could be opened and played??

it can be opened with a lot of programs (even windows movie player) when you have the right codecs.

You can use Divx which is like Windows media Player or download a codec so you can use windows to play the file. Here's a link for Divx but you're going to have to research the codec cause i don't have the site for it.

You should use Microsoft Media Player. If the files don't work with Microsoft Media Player, the files may be in divx format. So you should download divx player from the address: www.freedownloads.com

iT CAN BE EVEN PLAYED ON WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER BUT U NEED TO DOWNLOAD SOME CODDECS.
Try downloading them from site(use google search : .avi coddecs)
i think it wld work better on Real
