how do i play movies using windows media player 11 on external screen(tv screen)?

connection thru laptop to tv. i got the s-video wire already. so wat else should i do?

There's a box that looks like a TV screen with two vertical lines on either side of it (I think it's the number 2 key, but I'm not near my laptop to check). That is the switch for the output signal. You need to hit the key and that key to send the signal to the S-video cable.
