I'm reading "The Da Vinci Code" and I was really curious about what he has written about Mary Magdalene. I went online and I came across this website. I found it fascinating. Is anybody else intrigued about Mary Magdalene possibly being the Holy Grail or the lost face of sacred feminine in Christianity?

It is a very interesting idea, and not a new one. Even if she wasn't the Holy Grail, even if she wasn't the wife of Jesus, I do believe it was obvious that she was far more influential to Jesus than organized religion will ever admit to. Organize religion would never admit to this of course since it would place yet another large doubt on the entire validity of the bible.

The problem with all the Mary Magdalene theories is that there is absolutely no historical evidence to support them. The traditional Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were written shortly after Jesus death and Matthew and John are alleged to have been written by disciples who lived with Jesus, were there for his whole ministry yet they make no mention of Jesus having a wife. It would have been perfectly normal for Jesus to have been married and have children so there would not have been any reason for the Gospels to exclude her.
Most writings about Mary from outside the bible come from several hundred years after Jesus life by people who had no firsthand knowledge of Jesus and what his day to day life was really like.

There is too much evidence to disprove that book to even put on as a response. I would ask you to seek that out, though. If you are a christian, I would hope that you wouldn't be so easily deceived. There are books out there less than five bucks that show how far out there that book is. It is a fictional book with real facts (real places and happenings) surrounding the characters. When the movie came out it was so easily refuted that it never became that big of news. Historians from all over denounced its historical facts. Go ahead and enjoy this book as a work of fiction if you so desire. But I wouldn't place any stock in it's authenticity.

It is a fascinating concept. But there have been many people all too eager to jump in and point out how it is historically inaccurate speculation.

One of the best books I've read on the topic is "What DaVinci Didn't Know". Though I thought the "DaVinci Code" was a much more exciting read... :-)

It is nothing more that "faction" or facts twisted by Dan Brown into fiction to help support his personal beliefs. There is no evidence to the authenticity of ANY claims about Mary Magdalene's life, testimony and etc., other than what is stated in the KJV Bible about her.

The Gnostic texts, part of the Apocrypha and originally part of the Bible, have a Book of Mary. In this book, the life and works of Mary Magdalene are documented. She is even identified as the first leader of the Christian church after Christ's death.

It's possible. Her testiment was purged from the Bible. If there is one thing all mainstream religions have in common is that they are a boy's club.

She was one of the most advanced women of her time. She was Jesus' Tantric partner. I am sure He imparted many truths to her.
