I am starting a new part time job in 2 days where I have to work 20 hours a week, that is in addition to my current full time; 40 hr/week job. I am just getting over a cold...I'm due for my "time of the month" tomorrow....and my boss at this new job is a very jumpy, high paced, busy person...I need to be on my toes. Because of my cold...I've been sleeping a lot and I just feel 'blah' right now...I want to be bright eyed and ready for this new job. What can I do?! Ginseng? Red bull? Exercise? anything??...help!

Exercise is always a good way to get energy up. To be honest not sure that your schedule right now has enough time since you need to get sleep also. I think the red bulls and coffee might give you the burst for a bit , but I would be afraid that it wont be easy for you to sleep. Iknow that I have done it and the energy drinks are great but ultimately lack of sleep over powered them. I think your best shot is to drink tea. GreenTeas with ginseng might be your best shot. Since green tea has half the cafeen of coffee it might just have enough to get your boosted but not enough to keep you up all night. Eat as many small meals throughout the day as you can. And try a 20-minute bike ride about 3 times a week. You'll beat it for sure. Let me know.!! :)

Vitamins. Get the kind w/out any preservatives. A multi-vitamin, some vitamin C and if you suffer from pre-menstrual tension a little extra B complex wouldn't hurt. Eat red meat or other source of iron (don't take that in vitamin form unless prescribed by your GP) when you feel fatigued. Feel better soon & good luck with the new job!

1) Exercise for 1/2 min. / day, to start. Nothing too much though. Don't even worry if you don't break a sweat. A brisk walk would work wonders.
