Muslims claim Jesus is a prophet. Jesus said pray for those who harm you and persucate you. Jesus said return no evil for evil. Jesus said all who call upon my name will be saved. Jesus said i have not come to do away with the law but to bring a new covenat. With a better hope and a more blessed assurence. Jesus said i am the only way to the father and no one comes to the father other then by me. Jesus is the door that God has made to heaven and to the Father. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. He commanded us to love all people even our enemies. He commanded us not to harm any one. And he commanded us to teach all people about his gosple. Muslims claim Jesus as a prophet. Why don't you seek to obey him and if you prophets is teaching against what Jesus taught which one suffered for you? Why did Muhammad not heal any of you? Why did MuHammad not offer forgiveness of sin or die for you? Why do you seek to follow a man and not the servent of men, Jesus the Christ?

Muslims believe that the gospel is untrue because it is written by a man 20-70 years after Christ and is accounts of Christ from men who knew him. Therefore they would prefer to believe an man who never knew him and lived hundreds of years later. Muslims are content following a book that denies God rather than seek a living God.

First, a note to Mustafa and people like you. You are fortunate to have said what you said about Jesus, because he will not smite you as Muhammad would have if you said that about Muhammad. Your prophet was a narcissit, liar, sinner, man. Who ordered the killing or others, even those people who just didn't like his message. Like Asama bint Marwan. He killed her for simply not liking him, another woman was murdered by her husband for him, and your prophet forgave him, because he was defending him. She didn't like him and for that she was murdered. A whole tribe of Jewish people were killed, enslaved and lost their family, children, women, and properties, because your prophet wanted to become a strong military leader, and enlarge his power and followers. That was your propher among many more unpleasant deeds in his life. May the God forgive you for what you said about Jesus Christ.
When the Judgment day come, you as we all of us who believe in Jesus Christ, will face Jesus Christ not Muhammad.
If Muhammad is better than Jesus Christ! then, why is it that Jesus Christ is the one who is going to be handling such an important tasic not your prophet Muhammad!? why?
If Muhammad is God's favorite prophet! why did he died such a painful death, and God didn't left him up to him so he will not suffer as he clearly did! why?
I don't know if he really was a prophet! but he is not better than Jesus, not by a long shot. Sorry, his life was not so clean. Even your own prophet, since you choose to believe only him, said that Jesus Christ was the only person who walked the Earth that was sinnless. Jesus was sinnless, and your prophet, may he rest in peace and God have mercy on his soul, was with sin. When the time comes and you have to face Jesus Christ, I hope what you said will not come to haunt you, and be counted against you in the judgement day.
As for the question,
The Muslim respect Jesus Christ with limitations to how much Muhammad wanted them to. Muhammad can't give forgiveness, he wanted the Lord to forgive him. Even on his death bed, he screamed in pain, and was praying to God to forgive him for what he did in his life. May God have mercy on his soul.

as a muslim ( submitter to God will and obey Him sincerly and dont associate a partner with Him ) I totally respect the christainity faith and the gospel because the prophet peace be upon him taught us to respect others faiths and especialy believers who believe in the existence of God i.e Jews , Christains , we call them ''people of the book'' . we also believe in the prophets who God has sent them to different nations and have passed away , like prophet abraham peace be upon him , Moses pbuh Jesus pbuh and many more prophets who are mentioned in the holy quran . to become a sincere believer in islam one has to believe in these prophets otherwise he/she will not be considered a believer . and denying them is a big sin. therefore it is a part of islamic faith to believe in prophet Jesus and Respect him , we also send peace and blessing upon them as the prophet has ordered us to say whenever we mention their names . however we dont believe that jesus pbuh is son of the God or The divine , islam is totally against that , we believe that God Has no partner and not begotten a son , our creed is same as prophet abraham and moses and Jacob peace be up on them , have any one them believed that God has a son named Jesus? Have any one of them believed in trinity ? the answer is no . All those prophets believed in one God , the one who created us and the universe .

Prophet Jesus did not suffer for us or anyone... he did not die on the cross. Prophet Jesus said he is not the son of God and finds it reprehensible that anyone would claim he is. Prophet Jesus said Praise Be to Allah for clearing my name by conveying to the world through the Holy Qur'an that I am a Messenger and Slave of God, not the Son of God. Prophet Jesus said: I am not worthy to even clean the shoes of the Last Messenger and Prophet of Allah, Muhammad... but God will give me the honor of doing so. Prophet Jesus said: On the Day of Judgment, not even I will be able to help you, but Muhammad will, so go to him.
Now will you listen to the Prophet Jesus if you claim to be his follower?
