if your dogs ears are droopy theyre most liekly to get infected, aka why they smell. if your to cheep to go to the vet to recieve treatment, take a damp cloth and clean inside his/her ears.
NO SOAP, you dont want to do more damage then your neglect has

The smell is probably from ear mite feces. Get some ear mite drops and put in ears. You can buy them at Walmart. Clean out the outer ear with cotton balls.

The smellies is infection,,,,,,,,a good washing with warm soap and water is a must and a good drying is a must!....but in all honesty you should get a drop solution from a vet and gently rub into the pups ears .....he/she will love you forever!
Very common in dogs with droppy ears...like labs... good luck!
