What does it mean if you tell someone that a certain person is their blanket.
Example: Jose, Gina is your blanket.

It means (in this example) that Gina is someone who Jose feels safe and comfortable with. Gina provides him with warmth and solace. IOW, she's "got him covered," similar to English when we use the term, "security blanket."

It means they are your cover from cold and harm. A child or an insecure person, will hide under the covers, to avoid an unpleasant thing, until it passes, by their means of coping. To face the problem head on, is to face reality, and overcome needless fear and anxiety.
