First, buy a cord to connect your turntable to your soundcard. (Don't worry these are cheap and you can get them at pretty much any electronics store).

Then, use a recording program to record the sound as an MP3 as you play the record.

Then, burn this MP3 to a CD, and voila!

Chip is correct, but I dont think that you can cable directly to the turntable. You will need to connect to the aux out on your amp. The software I would recommend is WavePad as it has some nice editing features.

Make sure you record at least at 128K sample rate. 160K is even better, but takes up more hard drive space.
