Dear Private, that mother really needs to do something about the head lice. I had them once when I was really small around 6 yrs old. and I remember it was misery. It's like fleas on a dog where the dog is constantly scratching. If she loves her children she needs to do something. There is medication for the children to use. She also has to wash everything, sheets, towels, etc. Then she must use good hygiene. The kids need to wash their hair regularly.Another thing is you need to find out why they keep coming back. Are the kids playing with other kids who have them???? If she doesn't do anything then you need to turn her in to the health dept. It is necessary to help the kids. Please help those kids. They are suffering, believe me.....good luck

I had a kinda friend who had chronic lice up till the age of 25!!!! I couldnt take it any moe--she was passing it along at the campus and finally the Dean sent her a letter telling her she couldnt come back on campus until the lice problem was taken care of.
Beign a nice gal I offered to clean her hair---that went waybeyond her thighs.
And also totally clean her apartment.
Me an another student. Cleaned and trimmed her hair. It would have take well over 10 hours to clean her hair--it took us about 2 1/2 hours to get even a a thich strand of hair done. SO we had to convince her to cut it.
Next we sun bathed all of the blanquets, towels, couch cushions, any kind of fabric. We bagged up all the clothes and fabric toys, and prepared to have them washed. I vaccumed the house thouroughly sprayed it clean.
And this whole time I had her a way from home. Its best that you do that.
I hope this little anecdote gave you some ideas.
Oh its been two years and she still hasnt had them again.

Help her clean the house and the toys and bedding. Also the kids heads have to be retreated again in 14 days to make sure of no re-infestation and all the eggs have to be removed. If this things are not done then they will not get rid of them and she has to be using a lice removal shampoo like Rid.

I would tell her to smarten up and get it taken care of before her kids spread it to other kids. She isn't doing it right if it keeps coming back. Not only does she need to treat everyone in the house, but she also needs to strip their beds and wash everything in hot water with lysol to help kill the lice. It's not fair for her to not treat her kids and let them go to school or play with other kids, as it is very contagious they can jump pretty far. She definately needs to do it again.

The children must not be school age...as the school would not allow it. So if they are preschool then call the DSS and report it. The mother obviously needs help. You are right the kids are the ones suffering. It is no disgrace to get head lice only a disgrace in keeping them! Call DSS today!!!!

okay, here's how you get rid of it. Thickly layer petrol um jelly all over the hair and scalp. Let it sit for like 5 minutes, comb it out as much as you can, & wash, wash, wash. It's going to take a while to get all the grease out of the hair, but it'll get rid of the problem.
