it is to do with animals and keeping a calm mind when hunting - if u are nervous u give off certain chemicals that would definately be smelt in the wind by your prey- rather than if u were cool and collected - animals smell caution , it makes them caution

its to do with sailors...when they got nervous they were suppoed to let the wind take away their fears....or so i was told
