Some dietary tips would be to reduce the calories and sodium in your diet. Follow a calorie based meal plan so that you can maintain a proper weight. Drink more water.
And follow a good work out plan. On the website below there is a great abdominal work out plan.
Follow it up with cardio/aerobic excercises
And with all those three you can loose it in no time

There is no short cut.

The only answer is a combination of diet and excercise.

Its simple. To loose weight, you need to eat fewer calories than you burn in a day.

Aerobic excercise will burn calories. If you are a lot overweight - consult your doctor. try waling or running. Swimming is about the best all round aerobic excercise.

To tone the tummy muscles, do crunches rather than sit-ups. Sit-ups can injure your back.

The best advice is to join a Gym and ask one of the instructors to design a programme especially for you.

You probably already have a toned stomach, just you've covered it with a lovely warm layer of fat. To work this off you need cardio and fat burning exercises like walking, running, cycling, swimming. This will also help improve your aerobic fitness as well as burn off those extra calories. Then you'll be able to see your toned belly again and if you want to work on muscle mass and having a stronger tummy there won't be any fat to slow down the process!! kk!

You need to get running! but mainly concentrate on your diet - you could do 1000 pressups a day, and have a great 6-pack but if u have a layer of fat over it, you wont see it- so concentrate on your diet, and general situps --- also a great way 2 do your stomach muscles is to lay on your back.... put your hands flat on the floor about 6inches from your waist palm down, then put yours legs together, crunch up your toes, then raise your feet about 2 foot from the floor --- and hold that position for 45-secs, stop, repeat 4-5 times ;;;; u will feel the effect of it straight away ;)

Without any apparatus, gentle sit-ups combined with lying flat on the floor, and with bent knees, move the legs from one side to the other.
There are exercisers you can use. Try Argos catalogue, and John Lewis on-line for there sit-ups pull.
Mainly of course, keep up a healthy diet.
Enjoy!

best way to get your stomach flat is not situps but crunches where you just go half way up and breath in at the same time so the small of your back is flat on the floor.
Doing full sit ups pushes you muscles out and bulks them slightly so you would have a bulky tummy sticking out (unless you want prominent muscles that is)
other wise this method helps to flatten your tummy out. good luck xx

The really best way is to do sit ups, but not with your legs straight out, keep your knees up and tummy crunch into your knees. Start slow though!!

toning up the abs and core muscles will not shift the flab...sorry to say cardio (that is running cylcing, steps, and rowing are the only way to shift the flab) Pilates and crunches will only tone the muscle under the fat...which is great but you will still have that wobble in the top...

No beer and sit ups. That should be enough to start with. Then if you keep that going, consider going to a gym. Start with small targets then build em up. Easier to achieve. More likely to stick at it.

Try pilates. It works on all the core muscles so your stomach is given a good workout all the way through
