Just something I need cleared up. If you have an anologue TV can you 'make' you TV digital by buying a digital box? Also if you do this does this mean your video/DVD player is also covered or do you need to buy new digital equipment???

With a Digibox you get access to the Freeview digital channels. Depending on where you live you may need an outdoor wideband digital antenna otherwise you may get lots annoying 'dropouts' and pictures freezing. If your DVD and VCR have analouge tuners in them(ie the same as your TV) then when analogue broadcasts cease they will become redundant. With a Digibox you will be able continue to record digital programs for as long as the DVD/VCR remain funtional.N.B. With an all digital setup you cannot record one channel and watch another at the same time, to do that you will need another Digibox or a DVD or TV with a built in Digital tuner.

God forbid that they should merge on the grounds that the RSPCA are a waste of space and anyone who has any regular involvement in the animal world will reiterate that. The vast majority of the little work they do is carried out in the South of England. If you phone them to report a needy animal you will invariable not get an answer to the hot-line or they will ignore it and fob you off. They bombard this area in the North East of England with their junk mail but they do not say that the cash will not be used up here. There is supposed to be a brand new super dooper centre to be opened here in the future but nothing has actually happened yet apart from the begging letters. Does anyone remember the sheep that got stuck on a ledge high above the sea at Whitby? The RSPCA inspector that did attend shot the poor animal from a boat, excuse being the rescue would have been too awkward. Is this a caring and welfare attitude?
