i am harsha from india.intiallt my problem is i tried to download a software named pcthrust from an undergrounsite and try to insert the key,but when i restarted my pc i got a notice that i did it intentionally to pirate that software.they warned me that they recorded my ip adress and they will investigate if i dont buy a license code.i also read that there is a fine about $2500000usd for software piracy or imprisionment.on reading this i am not getting even sleep.one more infomation ismy ip adress usually changes every time i restart. so how can they predict me.that software also costs abt $13 only.so plz help me by giving ur valuble opinion >plz!

You won't be contacted by anyone ... if indeed somewhere in the Bizarro world they do contact you just say it was a typing error.

Piracy, by the way, occurs when you have installed and are using unlicensed software....NOT just because you attempted to.

I think they are actually lying to you. You download the software from internet trackers where they will try to cheat you. Don't worry, uninstall the software and go to www.download.com and get spyware software and registry cleaner. Download.them for free and do the system clean.

Sounds to me like you better stop playing pirate and go buy a piece of software.

This has happened to me before,just an attempt to scare you into buying it.Just delete the software,and find a similar type elsewhere

well your problem seems so easy in a way since yopu said you downloaded in or free.. all you have to do is to buy it legally and ask for the license/ serial code which a softwaRE COMPANY IS ASKING TO KNOW WHETHER YOU BOUGHT IT originally or got it through a pirate/robber etc..

They are just trying to scare you. Just uninstall the software and scan your computer for spyware.
