I am having lower back pain, located very low in my back below my beltline. I need a back brace/support/belt (whatever term you want to use) to wear while I am at work. I do a lot of lifting at work.

I need a recommendation of a very good belt to buy, one that is comfortable and actually decreases the pain. Hopefully one that is available at a major retail chain, I need it today.

Thanks

You can buy one anywhere..but the best one to have are those that we can measure on to you and we make it as the shape of your back for best results.
If you havent seen a Dr. try seeing one and ask for a prescription for a back brace, if the Dr. has a physical therapist or even himself, they can do it in 15 mins. And it will last for a long time, as per those you buy in stores they break fast.
Make sure you are bending your knees when lifting..and watch your posture.
Feel better and good luck ^i^♥♥

If this is a work-related problem, you should talk to you supervisor and let them know that you are having back pain. Its not a good idea to keep doing things that can injure your back when you already have an injury.

Its also a good idea to see a doctor and have them recommend the proper type of brace and other things needed to recover from the injury. Most of the time, braces are ineffective for this type of injury, and the only solution is rest until the injury heals, then stretching and increasing strength with exercises.

Oh goodness gracious yes! I had to wear braces for 4 years and 2 months. It was horrid. And I also play trumpet in band, so with the braces on, every time I played into the mouthpiece, they would cut the insides of my mouth. Hurt so bad. But now they're off and I love my straight teeth, so I guess I wouldn't regret getting them.

don't go for the brace especially if you are going to work. Assuming you go to work at least 4 days a week, that means you have that brace on a helluva long time per week. It weakens your back INCREDIBLY. First when you don't have it on you can't do your normal activities so you say "il just put my brace on" and then its a downward spiral. What you need to do is get some heat patches and do exercise to strengthen your back muscles. Braces just weaken them.

Try Doan's backache pills. They are an older medicine, but really offer backache pain relief.

You need a good chiropractor.
