well, don't expect snow... there is none :(
if the weather doesn't change till end of January, u may expect temperatures between 5°C and 15°C, some rain, some sun...

i wouldn't go to Geneva. it's an ugly city and the UN isn't quite spectacular.
Bern is a cute little city (http://www.bern.ch/weiche-en)
Zurich is quite multicultural (for Switzerland) and most ppl know how to speak English. except for the lake and the parties there ain't much. (http://www.zuerich.com/index.html?__setlocale=en)

but for the scenery i would go to Lucerne (http://www.luzern.org/en/welcome.cfm?)

how long do u want 2 stay?

Hi.Well, first of all you hopefully know where you will be arriving. Then you can do your planning from there. Zurich is a very nice city and has got a lot to offer. Public transportation in Switzerland is very good. So, you can go almost anywhere either by bus, tram, ship or train. You may want to decide to spend one day in Zurich and yet another lets say in Bern, which is the capital of Switzerland. You can take the train from the main train station in Zurich to Bern. The main trainstation has got a lot of information places and I am sure the people working there will be more than happy to help you with your questions.

Always a good time to go to Switzerland if you like great scenery and diversity. Geneva is pretty and the lunches are excellent but I am really a fan of Eastern Switzerland, the German speaking areas that you get to on the trains after flying to Zurich. It is unseasonably warm there sometimes Jan/Feb, but you need fur or warm gear as you go higher up in altitude.Swiss trains are amazing.Travel and eat would be a good holiday and visit local festivals. Find them on the net. They are brilliant. Small towns much more interesting than the cities, but that's just a personal view. You need to be active finding things: maybe book into a spa hotel? Try Bad Ragaz- very upmarket but not outrageous. St Gallen is fantastic: read about the library. Enjoy! ps Stay off Swiss wine: grooh...

Zurich has the best connections. expect it to be cold, expensive, But Switzerland is nice. I live in Austria and sometimes visit Switzerland. If you are flying O.K. But if driving or hiring a car remember snow chains. on some roads they are compulsory to have and to use. If Skiing you will need them, unless you have a good 4X4. even then you may need snow chains on some roads. Like Austria most of the main roads are kept clear. But bad weather can catch you out in a few hours. The cities are great for night life no matter what the weather! Try Vienna Austria the best city in Europe 24-7 for life

From your list I'd choose Bern and ignore Geneva unless your're a francophone, it's bland and uninteresting for a short visit.

For preference go to Lucerne. There are fast trains there from almost all of the two major airports. Even with the weather as it is now you'll find plenty to enjoy for a few days.

It helps if you have German but providing you don't behave like Americans or Japanese tourists they'll make you welcome.

If you are looking for a party scene: Zurich
If you are looking for a decent party scene, nice restaurants, beauty: Lausanne (I'm partial having lived there for a few years)
If you are looking for international flair: Geneva or Zurich
For real beauty, and relaxed environment: Tessin (Italian part of switzerland)- great food, italitan atmosphere without the crazy drivers- warmer weather.
The alps are nice, but busy and crowded, overpriced and lacking snow.

am not sure whether cities are the best to see in winter.

bern: small and nice
geneva: international touch, UN is there
zurich: big and busy

also nice to visit:
interlaken: between 2 lakes, mountains all around, 1 train-hour away from bern
http://www.interlaken.ch/index.php?id=53&L=3

if you are looking for a cheap fun hostel in interlaken try
balmer's (it's quit famous among backpackers)

you easily visit several places in one day if you get up on time, switzerland is soooooo tiny!

No cities in Switzerland are really worth a visit. Mountains are where it's at. If you want a city, go to Italy.

hi !
It depends what you want to visit. I spent 3 years in Switzerland and I prefer the lake side (Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, the ski stations, etc...).
Let me know if I can help further.
