You don't get any points so really, what is the point?

I just read on here that if you give a question a thumbs up when they pick best answer they get an extra point for every thumbs up they got.

The point of giving a thumbs up means that what ever you are looking at or someone did is good. And then the opposite of that Thumbs down says that it is not good.

thumbs up when you answer somewhat correct which means correct. Thumbs down is on the opposite
