I *love* Weight Watchers. I have been with WW for 16 weeks now and have lost 22 lbs. (I have a lot more to go) It's a great program to follow because you learn portion sizes. At first it's tedious to count all the "points" but soon enough you get the hang of it.

I recommend WW over any other weight loss program because you are eating your own food. With other programs you have to buy their food. I always wonder how people do after they buy the programs food and lose all the weight.. do they continue to buy it forever or just go on by themselves after that? I wonder what the success rate is.

With WW you can eat what you want.. just staying in your daily point range plus you work in exercise.

Good luck! I love WW!

I have a friend that lost 224 lbs w/ Weight Watchers. I have other friends that have lost, too, but even though following the program, I didn't lose a pound. It is a successful program, but you really have to follow it and incorporate exercise, your tracking, and the meetings into your life. It becomes a way of life.

I chose The Enzyme Diet because I wanted to maintain my metabolism and that was important to me. I've had great success with it, but if you choose Weight Watchers, I guess the best way to say it is if you work it, it generally works (except for me--ha).

You get to know the people in your meetings. Stay for the meetings, don't just weigh in and leave; it defeats the purpose.

DEFINITELY check out weight watchers on-line. For a small fee you can have an on-line "account" where you can track your food, get recipes not available anywhere else, etc. The food tracking was fabulous--many of their own recipes are already in the database and you just click on that meal and it calculates everything. It gets to know meals you eat on a regular basis, AND it will convert standard recipes (with your input) into points. It was very little effort when I did it and I was on a limited budget, so it wasn't very expensive--well worth the cost.

The only other thing I would like to put out there is that if you have a Palm Pilot there is software that lets you track your points on your Palm and you can synch it with the stuff on-line. It was faboo.

Hope all this information helps!

Weight Watchers is a wonderful program, it is the only program that I have done that really works. I do the points program, they weigh you and tell you how many points a day you are allowed to eat. I had 20 points a day and it was kinda hard to get use to but once you learn how to portion your meals and you change you eating habits then you get less hungry. The first few days I started the program my body felt like it was in withdrawl, its hard to get use to not eating as much.
This program is great though because you can still eat foods you love but you learn how to portion it.
Last year I started the diet to lose 20 pounds so that I could go on vacation and I ended up losing 13 pounds in like 3 weeks, and then I lost 9 more pounds. I was so excited to lose the weight because nothing worked for me before. I just recently started the program again because I have gained alot of weight due to health problems, I need to lose 25 pounds and I am exercising daily I just hope I can lose it fast like last time. Good Luck and stay motavated

I have known ALOT of people who have had great success with Weight Watcher's.. In my opinion it is nothing more than a balanced diet (even balance of calories, carbs, fiber, etc.), but it really helps you stay on track. I knew one woman who started as a size 20 and got down to a 6-8. I knew another who lost 30 pounds, another who lost 50 pounds.... the list goes on. Just make sure you really stick to it (if you don't, you are only cheating yourself).

you would get 22 factors an afternoon, plus you would get 35 factors for the week like for going out to eat,or have the ice cream that you been wonting all week for being solid. and do not forget to exerise.in case you wont to, i might want to be your e mail pal in Weight Watchers.we may be able to do it mutually.you want all the acquaintances that you'll get.
