Hit control alt delete and go to task manager... or task manager just opens up... (I use pro set up so there's an extra step).

select the Processes tab, and you can sort by memory usage
That will tell you who or what is eating the most memory. Select by CPU and you can find what applications are eating the most CPU time, etc...

Yes there is and its right on your pc most people dont know dont really need to download programs to find this out quite simple first off
push alt ctr delete some pc's take you do 2 times newer ones only take pushing all 3 keys at the same time this will open what is known as Windows Task Manager
Once its open click the Processes tab looks nice now were going to add on to it so you can see the mem usage
2nd. At the top of Windows Task Manager you will see
File Options View Shut down and Help

Click View then click Select Columns

another box should pop up its everything you can add on into your Processes tab quite nice after awhile just click the Memory Usage make sure the box is checked i dont advice clicking the other ones unless there already clicked leave them be but if there not i wouldn't they wont harm you but you might not understand what they all do but you can always look it up its great to know what each one does and keep track of
Ok so now you have Memory Usage checked click ok make sure your still in the Processes Tab might have to make the window bigger click onces on user name to sort it the way you it,faster to look at then you would see like svchost.exe User Name System Cpu 0 then you will see Mem usage not sure if thats what your looking for but i can read everything off there fine Might wanna do some looking up though or if you need further help reading the Mem usage feel free to e-mail @ xxdarklotusxx@swbell.net where the points dont matter there :)

very simple. press all three keys at same time: CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
WINDOWS TASK MGR pops up. the 'processes' screen shows everything running on your machine. basic windows requires about 20 such processes. you see immediately how much ram each uses. you can turn off many of these unnecessary processes.
to do so you need to research which ones are required by your own machine. dell puts a lot of crap on their machines for eg.

google the name of each process you are interested in, and you will find out if it is useful to you.

press the windows key. when start menu pops up press 'run'. then type in 'services.msc' without quotes. the services window will pop up. there you can disable or set to 'manual' services which are not required. this can save tons of ram.

Hi,
Thats easy if the operating system is windows.
Just click on: Alt-Ctrl-Del, and click on the tab:' Processes.'
You can view on the tab: 'Mem Usage' the amount of kbytes each program is using.
