looking at some of the questions on here about nuking iran and iraq,i came to the conclusion a long while ago, that they do not realise it would be the end for everyone ,nobody would be a winner, just watch the film or read the book on the beach by Neville Shute,i live in UK not that it makes any diffrence

I think most people understand that any nuclear exchange is a bad idea. What I don't think many understand is that even a minor exchange in the Middle East would have drastic real world consequences for almost every nation on Earth. Even if you overlook the environmental effects, the very nature of world interest regarding oil would almost certainly create a larger exchange by other nuclear nations and could certainly create a vast global conflict which would make WWI and WWII look tame by comparison. I am not too worried about Russian silence because I believe this is more related to battling their own internal strife rather than any dire omen, but we also do not want to see any nuclear nation get too nervous about affairs in the Middle East. The very possibility for disastrous consequences is the best argument I know against a nuclear armed Iraq. People make the argument that Israel has them, but the difference is that they have had them for many years and have shown no inclination towards using them. However, the leader of Iran continues to call for the destruction of Israel making his countries nuclear aims suspect.

I actually think the American people do understand the danger of a nuclear war starting in the Mid-East. Apparently, the Iraqi War was a primary reason the Republicans lost control of Congress in the Nov.'06 election. We know Iraq is no military threat to us; we will never be able to stop the sectarian violence in Iraq and we are ignoring our real threat (Iran and North Korea) at our own peril. If I'm an average American, I know that Iran can wipe Israel off the map, but not before the Israeli missles are headed for Tehran and Syria. I think we know and I think we are justifiably frightened. We are learning a little less slowly that Russia under Putin cannot be trusted. I think before Putin we had this glorified notion that Russia would slowly become completely democratic and that will not happen.

A nuclear war could escalate especially with this unpredictable person in the white house. There is no telling what or where he would do if a bomb were to go off. I truly believe he is insane. He let 9/11 happen. He let bin ladens family out of the country without even being checked. bin ladens niece was in GQ magazine last year for godsakes. I also have evidence that bin laden was at one time working for our very own CIA. Is it time for the CIA to be disbanded??? when the CIA or one of their agents can cause New York City to be bombed I think it is time for that ageny to be shut down.

Yes the Russians are strangly quiet except for that little spy poisoning scandal. Wonder what kind of beans they were getting ready to spill. It's even scarier how they are in cahoots with Iran.
I feel like they are waiting for just the right scenario to get openly involved. I know some don't like quotes from the bible but I will say it anyway. The battle of armageddon is supposed to start bacause of the army that comes from the north......that would be Russia.

because the flexibility of nuclear contraptions contained in the middle East is a few thing that couldn't attainable, it isn't hassle-free to assert what the casualties might want to be. Any change of guns might want to probable end rapidly because the international places capturing at one yet another might want to be beaten by way of casualties. At that factor, they could income from some impartial third social gathering to act as a catalyst for negotiation. (opposite to at least one answerer on your question, the "liberal democratic favor to barter" doesn't bring about atomic guns getting used on the united statesA.) There might want to be thousands of thousands if no longer thousands and thousands of casualties. international warming doesn't inevitably be affected in any significant lengthy-time period way, as we may be speaking about dozens of warheads being exchanged, no longer thousands. we may probable have some fairly outstanding sunsets because of stuff being kicked into the ambience; this become the case even as the volcano Krokatoa exploded in 1883. some thing of the international might want to then finally end up spending significant money on help for the survivors. If oil production become affected, it would want to honestly impact oil expenses yet doesn't inevitably bring about a sparkling darkish a lengthy time period (there is oil outdoors of the middle East; I stay in a Canadian province that as a lot oil tied up in tar sands as has Saudi Arabia sitting underground). If refining skill were damaged, it may positioned a squeeze on the provision and for this reason fee besides. some thing that individuals do not comprehend is that issues might want to be rebuilt rapidly if there's a will; Germany become heavily bombed by way of the Allies and refineries and production flora that were seriously damaged were rebuilt fairly rapidly. it really is a disaster, yet no longer inevitably a disaster for some thing of mankind.

Since I have a membership in a local militia and we have a very nice underground shelter with enough food, fuel etc for up to 5 years, I'm not gonna worry.
