No, it's never too early..the differential is if the learning comes along too early to apply it to anything you do cognitively. Without application, learning is stored, compartmentalized in the subconscious. Cognitive application makes it real and useful. I taught my children to read the newpaper before they were in Kindergarten. How I did it was realitively simple, because they could apply the words to their daily speech. On the other hand, I tried to teach them Spanish at 2 or 3 years old..and because I couldn't and didn't speak it to them daily they didn't apply it, the memorization of the words lacked value and they soon lost the ability to recall the Spanish words. The concept of imprinting relates to making an early impression that is lasting. Imprinting follows the same logic, if a child is educated (imprinted) before they can actualize a skill or task, it will not imprint. If they are imprinted and are able to apply the task, the imprinting works like a charm. Hence, understanding human growth and development aid in matching maturation with educational goals.

Sometimes, yes. For example, there's no point in trying to toilet train a child until his/her muscles have developed enough, and the brain-to-muscle connections have developed enough that the child has some hope of success.
I don't think it is a good idea to start explaining "the facts of life" or how an internal combustion engine works, or suchlike, until the child shows some interest in the question.

I Know!! People have some way of distorting truth, considering they do not desire to manage it. :)) They're in denial... I imply they even named a river The Nile... :) that simply appears like Denial to me. :) How can whatever be 'new and expanded'? If it is new what was once it bettering on? If it is known as a boxing RING, then why are they rectangular? :))

When the student is ready, the master will appear.
Until the student is ready, he or she cannot absorb the lesson!
