I have heard that if you allow satan into your thoughts, he can get in. And then, I also heard that he cannot read your thoughts. I think that it is one of those minor points that no one really knows. I say minor, because as Christians we should be guarding our inward thoughts and our outward actions from evil, anyway. There are people that do blame satan for a lot, and the truth is, satan is to blame. But, you can't say" satan made me do it" and then think that you are off the hook. In the bible, God gave us the tools to refute satan. So when he comes at us, when he tempts us, we have the Word of God. It is up to us to use it.

No I don't think satan could see or read our thoughts. Not at all.
Satan only gives you temptations and allurements all the time. He is the very best for doing that. Satan only tempts, entices and fascinates you with greatest temptations ever. He does know that humans are only flesh and bones so it's easy to get tempted and fallen. So satan's prime job is to tempt people, to make people fall into the downside of sins and wickednesses.
He really cannot read your mind or heart. He can only tempting and seducing you. And at the end, you are the only one who have to decide if u want to take his mesmerizing offers or not.

In a word, No! The Bible says he walks around as a raging lion seeking whom he may devour. Yet he's not omnipresent waiting to hear you say something out loud & seize the moment. A lot of it is just arguing with our sin nature. Even the Bible says God doesn't tempt anyone but we are tempted by our own thoughts & desires. If you're a recovering alcoholic you don't go to bars to party. If you want to hurt someone you don't go visiting with a club. Anything you mentally dwell on is a form of temptation. The more you think about it, the more tempted you are to do it. Sometimes when you speak something bad out loud & you hear it's ugliness you're more repelled than tempted. If not then your faith needs a tune up. Confession is good for the soul.

Satan's not as evil as the bible portrays. How do you teach children responsibility when you constantly say that Satan is the reason for all your mistakes?
Hey, even he needs a break every now and then.
Besides, if god has infinite powers and Satan has finite powers, then that would put the ratio of good/evil at infinite/1. Talk about unbalanced...besides, god's not perfect, even he has his limitations, for is not perfection a limitation itself?

That was part of the whole Xian (christian) plot to begin with. Xians created "Satan" to scare people into being (and staying) good and righteous. So now this make believe "fallen angel", "devil", "demon" gets blamed for all of humans' weaknesses. There is no more a devil out there than there is a god. People need to take responsibility for their OWN thoughts, words and actions.

I think he might be able to know what we are thinking. Where do the thoughts come from that try to get us to sin? I think he or one of his demons whispers in our ears, "look at that, or do it, it will feel good". Maybe he can't read our thoughts, but put thoughts in our minds?

YES he CAN.....be careful of your thinking & speaking...think postive thoughts and not negative, for negative comes from satan. and when you do think negative that is when satan picks up on it and runs with it. GOD BLESS

Many Christians think so, or at least think that Satan can inject thoughts, i.e. temptation. Really, though, this is just blaming yourself for being human. There are no gods or devils.
