I don't think it's offensive, but you're making a joke out of what some people take quite seriously. You should expect people to get upset.

I'm not really sure what you're asking by the way it's worded but I don't really find it offensive. Satan has too much pride to ever ask forgiveness but if he did & was in heaven I think the question of what was he doing there appropriate.
I'm a christian & I just saw it as an appropriate response to seeing anyone somewhere you didn't expect to see them. So why would I be offended? My gosh the original question was only hypothetical. I can't imagine it as being asked in seriousness. Your answer to it gave me a little morning giggle.

Now imagine that you do not even know what Lucifer even looks like.

GOD created us in HIS image. Therefore, He created our every emotion. This, to me......was funny. Well...I am not Offended, Satan is , however, not at the gates of Heaven, he is here on Earth.
