cause you have work men in to check every thing is going ok and they tell them not to worry and hang around to go home and my hubby say to them to go.the work men say they will lock up when they are finished and post the key back would you be un easy or am i worrying to much

if these work men worked for a registered company, then i guess it would be ok, beause if anything happened then you could contact them, BUT if the work men were just some on you called from a newspaper, then i would be worried and would not leave them alone in my home

I would never trust workmen to be in my house alone. my other half is a builder and i know what stories he's told me of things some do in other peoples houses eg sniffing underwear and really freaky and intrusive things. take the day off or make sure someone you trust is there with them.

Are they licensed and/or bonded? If these were people who hold those "I will work for food" signs then yes I'd be worried. Look , if it's a legit company then you probobly have nothing to worry about. Being concerned is ok too.

I wouldn't leave workmen in my house alone unless I knew them well and they had done lots of work for me. I would have a friend or family member stay in the house with them.

It's my house and I'd tell them when to go. And no, they're not going to post the key back, hand it over to me right now.

No don't do it !!!!!!! TAke the day off and stay yourself. I worked for several plumbing companies and workman are notorious for snooping through your knicker drawer/dirty wash basket/bedside drawers - you would nor believe some of the stories I've heard about customers !!!!!!

if i understand you correctly.
no, you shouldnt leave workmen in the house alone. you dont know them so how can you trust them.
leave them to do thier work with out interferring but do make sure they know you are about.

if you can afford it then take a day of work and stay home with the workmen ! i would not trust anybody i do not know alone in my house !
