GO to the Vet. It may just be bad bruising but if it is still causing her discomfort after 3 days is could be ligament damage or a fracture and these need professional skills to assess and treat.
Animals are no different to children, they are resilient but if their behaviour seems a bit out of the norm then theres probably something wrong (either emotionally or physically) - so go the vet for a check up because animals cant tell you what is wrong.

My experience with about 50 puppies & dogs (since I was a child) taught me that they do not want their feet to be touched, whether or not the foot is injured. I start training them since they are puppies, to get used to my touching their feet, but to no avail.
When my dog goes limping, I bandage the foot all over the leg (no matter how much is the resistance), so that it won't be painful to walk. I take the bandage off after about 3 days.

It really sounds like she hurt her paw somehow. The bin could have fallen on her foot and broken it. The reason she's not letting you touch it, is probably because it's hurting her. She really needs to be taken to a veterinarian, ASAP, to get it checked and make sure she didn't do any major damage. If you let it go, it may get worse, and she may have more problems in the future.

you might should have taken her to the VET to make sure the paw is not fractured. if something falls on your foot you'd be limping for a day or 2 also . It probably still hurts her

I would take her to the vet, she might not have anything wrong with her, it might just be a mental thing at this point, but get it checked out just in case. They might be able to give her some medicine to stop pain if she is having any.

Take her to the vet. She may have broken a small bone, or pulled a muscle or sprained her foot.

when one of my 4 dogs is limping we take them aside roll them over onto their backs, then check their feet for injuries. if your dog is aggressive when its foot is touched, you may have to put on a muzzle (it goes around the dog's mouth). vets recommend that you touch a puppy's feet to get it used to the feel so they can clip their nails or examine them as the dog gets older. good luck.

it is obvious you know the pup is hurt so take it to the vet and have the vet look at it. It may not be anything serious, could just be bruised, but why take chances???????????????
