God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. There are many many translations written by man. Remember I said translations. Even the KJV has many words translated wrong and if you find one that is close to the right translation there is a notation in the front of it that says that you should be aware of it. The Scriptures in the original languages, Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic have been translated by many people over the years and man is going to make mistakes. Get a Strong's Concordance and use it when you read the Scriptures and it will give you the CORRECT meaning of every word in the Scripture based on the ORIGINAL languages.

Yes, there is life after death, but there are those who erringly believe that once you die, you cease to exist until the resurrection. This is problematic for two reasons: First, it contradicts scripture. Second, if a person dies and ceases to exist, then he is in the same state he was before he was born: non-existence. Therefore, at the resurrection, it is not he who is raised from the dead. No, instead, a copy of the original person is produced. Nevertheless, the Bible definitely tells us that there is life after death:

God is there and is the author of all creation. This life is but a shadow of the true life which will come after this civalisation has ended. If I am to die today God has a body waiting for me in the heavens as the Bible puts it "To live is Christ and to die is gain".
I do not believe that God would just put us here to live and die. This is a proving ground for all of us and at the end of it all each one will receive his just reward.

I believe that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. After three days, He rose again. After 30 days, he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will return, to judge the living and the dead.

Eternal Soul created in the image of God.
Only 2 places it can go after this life.
WIth God in his kingdom or outside his kingdom where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
To be in God's Kingdom you must believe in Christ as the Son of God and follow his teachings.

There is one God, we are on Earth as test (our deeds matter), and there will be a Day of Judgment that our deeds will be judged, if you have lots of good deeds you to Heaven and if you lots of bad deeds you go to hell.

If there is no afterlife, I have a "Oh bugger, I'm gonna die" kind of attitude.
If there is in fact an afterlife, I'm probably Hellbound in various religions due to my personal issues.
