Read some relative magazines, try a search in a popular search engine (use "windows vista review" or something similar) or take a tour at Microsoft's site.
Good luck!

windows vista is much more better than xp dude example its all in one u do not hve to load media center... media center is intigrated in it ... also its much stable than xp better graphical interface fast ( yeah u do need at least 1 gb of ram to enjoy vista) the search comand is awsome where u do not need to go to run and stuff ... its all intergrated in one..... player, mediacenter, dvd maker, internet firewall( both ways ),antivirus,spyware.. use it u will forget xp.. the best part is the aero feature the screen is transperent and somewhat like the mac opening and closing of pages

I heard that files etc you save on XP, 2000 etc aren't compatible with Vista so if you're at Uni or something and they haven't upgraded, you can't access anything that you've done on your home computer at Uni...I guess that's a negative but hey!

Hello, to start you should see if vista will run on your PC using the "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor".

Looks prettier, faster, more secure - unfortunately, its a lot more expense, so I'm in no hurry to upgrade unless the reviews are phenomenally good, and even then I will probably wait for Service Pack 1!

It looks nicer but if you are happy with XP stick with that in the meantime it probably won't do anything more
