I've been asked to go to LA next April for my job.
I feel very strongly for my bf, and I know he does for me too.
He had taken me to Spain, and his parents house for Xmas, and going to his best friends wedding next week.
I've given him my handmade photobook which we took together, and he loved it with tears.
I started looking for a different job in UK.
I found a one in different industry, which I'm not completely confident on, but a great salary.
However, my bf never has given me the L word (he's very very stubborn) and I haven't mentioned it either.
I thought it might be rediculous to even consider staying, for he can't even risk saying that word for me.
I'm now writing a letter to him of my situation, and how he feels for me.
I think it depends on people, but would guys be pressured to have such letter and tell him how much I love him?
Should I give the letter, and tell him in words that I love him?
Or should I just not say the word at all?

you should tell him how you feel - he deserves to know esp if you are moving away, he may feel otherwise that you never had those strong feelings for him that you do. it then leaves the ball in his court he will either reciprocate or encourage your new life abroad. either way at least you can rest safely knowing that you did everything you could. i wish you the best of luck for the future whatever happens xx

By telling him how how you really feel would make you feel much better, because you are being compleatly honest, and by getting a reaction from him weather good or bad you will know exactly where he stands, you need to know now because a lot is seems to be happening in your life at this point, and taking you to Spain, his parents house and a wedding there is no doubt that he loves you, go for it, give it your best shot.
Good Luck

Why is it so important to you that he says the word?
Surely the fact you both enjoy spending time together and he shows you love and affection and committment is worth more than a word?
Talk to him about how you feel and how you want to be by his side for along time to come.
Just talk - you don't have to use the L word if you dont want to - sfterall what is love? Wanting to have a life together - committing to each other - enjoying spending time together - wanting to forgoe all others? If this is what you both feel there is no need to feel presured to say the word to know how you feel.
Maybe he feels the same as you and wont say it for fear of scaring you off as you have never said it to him.
At the end of the day just talk to him then do what is right for you.

The word "Love" is spoken by actions much better than words....I've heard ppl saying it left and right, and not meaning it....so make up your mind, and take a smart decision...

Sometimes its easier to say it in a letter & i would write a letter from your heart & ask him to write one back to you telling you how he feels. However my husband says 'Actions speak louder than words'
