I pray because you can't have a relationship with someone if you don't speak with them. Since God is the most powerful personage in the Universe, I feel confident and secure knowing that he is my friend and is always there for me.

I pray so that I may speak with the Lord but also to hear Him. Sometimes when I pray, I pray a thank you and supplication prayer. Not asking for anything but yearning and wanting to hear from HIM.

I pray as a way of communing with God. I pray appealing to God, surrendering my all to Him, acknowledging that I need a higher power and authority to take me through each day and moment I live. I also pray when I need to thank Him. Every time I feel the spirit move in my heart I will pray.

I pray to give thanks above all else. I pray to talk to God and tell Him how I feel and just share what I'm thinking. For me, praying is often just having a conversation with a good friend, because He is the best. I pray when I feel an urge to pray for something or someone and it overpowers everything else I'm doing, and I pray for peace within my soul. I pray for Jesus to return, and soon, because I am weary of this world.

Praying is carrying on a conversation with God. When praying do not just talk to God allow Him to reply to you. We can pray for blessings, for God's direction, for revelation or understanding of His word and for His will to be fulfil on earth. We can pray with understanding, in the Spirit and with thanksgivings to make our prayers complete.

The Muslim observes his Prayers to show devotion and obedience to Allah, because Prayer is one of the greatest forms of worship that Allah likes His servants to offer.

To thank Him for creating us in the best form of creation.

Because He has guided us to the Deen (Complete way of Life, Religion) of Islam.

Prayer is a chance for a Muslim to express to his Lord whatever he feels and needs through Divine Words of Allah i.e. the Qur'an.

To remember his Lord and not forget His commands amid life's pre-occupations.

To ask Allah, The Exalted, to give him aid and continuous guidance in the darkness of life.

To strengthen love and fear of Allah in the Muslim's heart so that he might remain sticking to the Right Path of Islam, and its laws and manners.

Gaining good rewards from Allah and having our sins forgiven.

To rejoice when he finds himself on the Last Day pleased with the great reward allotted to him in the Gardens of Bliss.

Prayer is a unique training and developmental program which, if well and devotedly performed, can achieve for Muslims many valuable physical, ethical and spiritual gains such as cleanliness, health, order, punctuality, brotherhood, equality, social consolidation,… etc.
