I dont have a surname in my passport.Will this cause any problems when applying for US visa?

you need to have a last name, unless something different about your name that you can explain away.... if your passport is incorrect, get it changed, your passport must mastch any other document you take to get a visa

I do not find it possible that you cannot have a surname listed. Unless your name is Madonna, or Prince you must have a surname, and your passport wouldn't have been approved if you didn't have one.

You sure you're not realizing that surname is synonymous with last/family name?
