"You shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves; and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you, from those who received the Book before you and from those who worship many gods. But if you persevere patiently, and guard against evil, then that will be a determining factor in all affairs." (Surat Aal-e-Imran, 3:186)

Christians believe Jesus is uncreated, a co-eternal member of the trinity that is God.

"In the beginning was the word. And the word was with God, and the word was God." (John 1:1)

Hindu beliefs are far too complex to drill down to just being "worshipping rocks" (an accusation muslims should be careful making, considering the excessive veneration many of the rest of us perceive your community giving the Kaaba in Mecca.) Hindus believe that the Brahman (God, if you will) is present to many things that have graced the Earth, and worship of these things is directed to their Brahman source.

Muslims really need to learn to be tolerant of that which is unlike them. It is a big world, and there are no guarantees that the Muslim view is always the right view. You might even learn a little from other cultures.

You believe something and worship it.O.K.If other people worship a different thing tn a different way.why should it bother you.You feel that your faith alone is reasonable. But there is no proof for any god apart from stories(which you call proof),
If you really start to see reason you will end up only an atheist. Only because you are selective thinkers you are a believer of a god of your choice..You restrict your vision to some selected thoughts and don't want to see the reason for others' belief.
You say that your faith is strong.Only because the Hindus are strong in their belief of god(who has many forms) they are able to offer prayers in front of a statue of his liking, not necessary to restrict to just one form or no form.Even while walking he will simply look above and offer prayer to sun or moon or even a flying bird. Can you do it.
Just think whose method is simpler.
I hope you will accept god is omnipresent. If it is so what is wrong if a Hindu sees god in a life form or a thing he likes.
I still have a lot in store for you ,later.

Fara i guess u r from the Isalmic religion...If it is so.. then go ahead.
When Islamic people worship nothing in their mosque claming it to be god, then why not christians and Hindus worship status of God made of stone, cemnt, clay etc that are symbolic form of the Almighty that is called as an Idol???
No body worships th stone or cement. Rather the faith in the stone that is God.
God - the ultimate Superpower - is nothing but the inborn, inbuilt faith inside each person. God i love. Isnt that potraied in Bible,Gita nd Kuran???

It is as in the Gospels, when Jesus speaks of the "wicked and adulterous generation".

Wicked being: those who always seek after signs. Those who need tangible evidence of thier supposed belief to be. Humans are bent towards sin in that we are all born with the Adamic nature...by one man; sin entered into this race; and by another, the "Last Adam: JESUS", redemption is offered.

WE must learn to walk by faith ALONE. Because, even though the good Lord has given "some" people prophetic visions, or others have encountered angels.....does not mean that GOD is not EVER_PRESENT.!

As the bible likewise proclaims, there is no place we can go, where GOD is not there. There is no thought we can think, that we can shield from the knowing of GOD.

Sweetie, you really should learn about other religions before embarrassing yourself with questions like these. Hindus do not worship "animals, stones and stuff".. and they do believe in a one, all-pervasive Supreme Be ing who is both immanent and transcendent, both Creator and Unmanifest Reality.

They also believe (like many other religions) that ALL life is sacred, including animals, plants, et al.

As for christians, they believe that Jesus IS God and therefore the Creator Himself, so there is no worshipping the creation over the creator. (See John 1:1-3 in the bible)

Many religions have icons that they use as representations of their gods/goddesses. These "idols" are not worshipped- the gods they represent are. As for fire worship.. you'd have to be more specific on that one.. the use of fire in rituals is at least 40,000 years old. But, that is not worshipping the fire over its creator.

If you are interested in more than trying to incite people, perhaps you should take a course on world religions.

We all are proud of our own creations and its just not a creation its a part of us. What would be more better for any person than his creations being appreciated ? Even if you rate a person average but his creations as wonders he takes it as a compliment. Why do we go to church/temples/mosques then if we could pray at home ? Its simply because temples, idols are like routers you can worship god without them but through them we get a better understanding of them. Then no body would learn from teachers people CANT WAIT for einstein himself to come and teach his theories :) I would ask you why not you directly buy textbook and learn at home rather than completing schooling ? why dont you love your grandparents as much as your parents ? they are the creators of your parents and what about their parents :) ?

They(jesus/idols) were avataars of god himself like here in yahoo answers we keep avataars, we can use yahoo without avataar, but using some good avataar makes us feel better and felt in a better way :) In hindu mythology these all are avataars through particular animals we are taught the qualities of a particular god.

i have many more examples but feel its becoming more lengthy :)

i might desire to furnish you fairly some Yahoo solutions profiles of folk who might enable you comprehend you worship evil. I had the exhilaration of having a communicate with yet another guy or woman who did not think of i became a christian and that they instructed that I might desire to desire to devil because of the fact of my ignorant perspectives on non secular subjects. Yeah, there is fairly some people who positioned something down until now they comprehend the challenge, so i think of it is fairly trouble-free for anybody on Y! solutions to be stated as devil worshipers or something like that. Even Christians.

Given the chance I would do more than worship you. I think I am in love :)

I guess worship is not the term I do for Jesus. Great admiration, love and respect.
