This is in conjunction with the "parking stickers" required by the city and suburbs. We recently had a police office come to work and issue citations to the cars parked in the lot for expired tags or no parking stickers. Several people want to dispute the tickets. If you have the Illinois Revises Statutes number with your answer that would be great. I am having a hard time finding this.

If he was invited or saw a expired tag from outside the parking lot.
He can write all the tickets he wants.
Please remember you are going to face Chicago traffic court.
Better to bite the bullet and pay because you will pay big time.

I am sure of one thing... Crazy M doesn't know the law and wasn't ever a cop.....
Parking lots are open to the public and the police can come there without an invitation. Do you think the only time you're going to get a handicapped parking ticket is if somebody calls down the local headquarters and gives an invite? Same goes with other violations.
The city I worked in for 21 years had an ordinance (city law, not state) that parking lot operation of a motor vehicle still required valid license plates, driver's license and insurance (you know like you were on the street).
If I were you, I would take care of the ticket, and leave the practicing of law to the bloodsuckers, I mean vultures that have the training to do it with their black robed fraternity brothers that most people call Judges.

If your tags were publicly displayed and the police officer could see them from their car I believe they have the right to issue the citations. Whether it was on private property or not. It is obvious that the stickers were in violation of the cities laws.

first it is not legal for the police to come onto any private property and give out tickets unless they were called. mean the owner called them or someone who works there. the problem is you now have to prove they were not called. and since they are the police and you are just a little person then they will belive them over you. sorry i know it sucks..

Of course it is legal. Stop whining about having to take responsibility for your actions and be an adult.
