What the hell is marmite? Sounds nasty, and I don't even know what is in it. Anyways, there are some really good suggestions. I like the chicken salad recipe a lot, but my favorite is egg salad. It's like having the yummy stuff inside of a deviled egg on a sandwich. Here's a recipe that will make about four sandwiches. 6 hard boiled eggs 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion 1/4 cup mayonaisse or Miracle whip, whichever you prefer 1/2 tablespoon Yellow Mustard Salt and Pepper to taste 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickle or sweet pickle Chop up the eggs as fine as you like them. Some like it chunky, others smooth (you can do this in a food processor, which makes it really easy, but it is really smooth when it comes out, and I like it chunky). Add the Mayo, mustard, onions, and pickles (If you don't like the onions and pickles, just leave them out). Add a little salt and pepper, and stir or process. Taste it, and add more salt and pepper if needed, or more mustard and mayo, depending on your personal taste. When you put it on the bread, sprinkle with a little (emphasis on the little) Paprika and you have a delicious sandwich. I would suggest that you bring the egg salad separate from your bread to work, and make the sandwich right before you eat it, I think sandwiches are just better that way. Also, to change things up, tinker with your salad a little. Try different dressings, different veggies, seasoned croutons of different types, or make a chef salad with ham, turkey, chicken, cheese, egg, bacon, etc. Enjoy!

Fresh Ham, Swiss Cheese, Sweet Pickles and Spicy Brown Mustard. Cooked on a grill press. That does it for me. Like a Cuban Sandwich, but a little simpler.

I always start with a good whole grain bread and spread it with a spicy mustard (calorie and fat-free!) or a great pesto or tapenade then load up on the veggies....lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, red peppers, red onion or sometimes I'll splurge and add a slice of a good cheese (Havarti is my personal favorite.) I've lost 30 lbs. recently eating this way. I eat very small portions but 5-6 times per day--when I make a sandwhich I cut it in quarters since it's so loaded w/veggies and just snack on it every few hours. I've never had so much energy or felt better eating this way. Hope this helps...

variety is the key with keeping health in mind, when it comes to sandwiches.

try halved seedless red grapes with butter and rocket salad - and think slices of mature cheddar - REALLY yum ! white bread with poppy seeds go very well with this filling

peanut butter and lettuce with tomatoes taste good

make some chutney by grinding 2 bunches of coriander, half a lemon, few leaves of mind, some salt and sugar and use it as a spread - very yummy when you add tomatoes, cucumber and leafy salads in a sandwich with this spread. wholemeal or white bread go well

cheddar cheese slices with sliced tomatoes are the simple and easy but tasty ones...

you will notice that different breads change the flavour of the fillings, so pick and choose !
