Maybe she has a thyroid condition, if her eating habits haven't changed.
There's a good site I like to use called www.familydoctor.org, you can search by symptoms and that might give some insight as to what is going on.

I would suggest a trip to the doctors , gaining weight and problems with periods could also be a sign of polycystic ovarian syndrome, here is a site for more information on this.

Are you sure she isn't pregnant? It could account for the weight gain and the change in her stomach.

i would say that maybe she is pregnant? but then if she is still having her periods it is more likely to be something else. take her to see your doctor

Please take her to a doctor soon & ask about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It's not a well known condition & is overlooked quite often.
