i know what you mean, it never really bothered me before until it happened to a male member of our family and i realised when people think of cancer they, probably, think of breast cancer first as it is more in the media, and there isnt a lot of focus on male cancer, which is annoying, and more should be done

That is so selfish, there is imllions of people around the world right now suffering from cancer some don't even know they have it! As for the answer to your question no it is not sexist the reason for all the pink is that these charities are set up for breast cancer sufferers which strangely enough women suffer from! So do you see the connection with the pink?!

I have seen quite a lot of amusing adverts recently on the theme of getting men to check their balls. The issue with testicular cancer is that the majority are easily treated if caught early enough but the average bloke is too embarrassed to see a doctor about lumps down there. Breast cancer, on the other hand, does affect both sexes (male numbers increasing with rise in obesity) and is harder to cure.
As for other cancers, lung and colonic cancers are both hard to promote although the public smoking bans should markedly decrease the first of these two over the next few years.

I dont think so some men suffer from breast cancer so the money raised is for all n they help the familes also ie husbands sons i think all the cancer charites are brilliant and raise money for things that should be funded by the goverment instead of wasting money on telling people where to have thier phone on their desk!!!!

It's not sexist at all - perhaps the women's cancer charities receive more money and can therefore advertise more? I'm sure there nothing to stop other cancer charities doing similar fundraising events etc. and I'm sure they do. Breast cancer affects men and women...

who cares if they are? the main thing is the help they provide to individuals with cancer. if you think about it, why do we need promotions/adverts for people to help/donate to cancer charities. if all the rich businessmen who earn over 50k a year donated even 100 pounds each.... that would be sufficient to help many thousands of people.

They could have 'orchid' days (removal is orchidectomy) or how about 'balls to all that'. Testicular cancer could use much more awareness.
