If you know the account of Christ as it is stated in Gods Word, He taught and reasoned with the priests in the Temple at the AGE OF 12. Mary and Joseph had to come back for Him after they left when the Census was over and found Him in the Temple and asked Him why He worried them. Christ said that "do you not know I must be about My Fathers business"

(paraphrased to keep it simple)

No! Jesus' age is an estimate. reckoning on which gospel you examine he would have died everywhere from 31-33 years of age. the reason being because many of the tale is paraphrased. It does no longer supply an actual daily account. the numerous gospels are more effective useful than others although for laying out a time body. in consumer-friendly words by way of combining the gospels will we get a more effective precise understanding. God Bless! +?+

because before that most of his life was to do with his family. i mean come on, mary was with joseph for all those years after the virgin birth.. do you really expect that they didn't make love & jesus didn't have any brothers or sisters...? the church just cut out those bits like many others to make jesus seem less like anybody else (same with jesus having a wife/kids etc). 30 was when he found himself and realised why he was on earth, to help others as the son of god.

The significance was not his age, but the timing. It was not his time. Jesus would say that to those that knew he was special. He said to his mother at the Marriage of Cana when he was asked for a miracle. He said "It is not my time yet" He knew when it would be his time to die for our sins and he knew how long he would have to minister to us before he died so that we would have enough evidence to believe in him.

I dont think its anything to do with 30, its just how old he was when he had the idea of starting a cult

As I recall he began his public life in a manger behind a public house surrounded by strangers on the day of his birth

Techically... (but Im not sure) he prepared for 30 years... on the spiel (preaching). Seriously... If I am a teacher I wont teach based on theories alone! I would get enough experience before Ill go into preaching as my "students" wont enjoy as well as not get enough PRACTICAL knowledge without me experiencing it before hand.

the years prior to that are insignificant to his work after 30 as you say.
And I think as a child He was sought after by king Herod, He wanted Him dead, so He was on the lamb most of His life. pardon the pun.
