Is it feasible that cancer/hiv are man-made diseases?

Question

I have been wondering where cancer originated from; was it born in some bacterial virus that came from outer space or could it seriously have been created in a lab as some sort of way for population control? I also wonder about hiv, as it was developed from monkeys and man having sex supposedly, then just gays were responsible, than drug users and people who got blood transfusions, and now it seems like anyone can get it. Did these terrible viruses come from scientists in labs?

Cancer is not a virus even though some viruses can cause Cancer.
Cancer is an anomolous throwback to how we developed as organisms. Start with Bacteria, which reproduce and eat until they consume everything in their environment.
As resources became scarce, Bacteria specialized to gain access to other sources of energy. Some symbiotically became parts of other Bacteria forming more complex organisms. This gave rise to the Organelles within more advanced cells. More advanced cells organized to form larger organisms. Further specialization became a communication issue between these cells, which further added specialization to these cells. Cancer, or the uncontrolled reproduction of cells to the detriment of other cells within a single host, became a problem where the controlling factors which allowed specialized cells to work in a single system, break down and allow clumps of cancer cells to form into tumors. It's usually the so called "On/Off" switch of reproduction, which cells in a complex organism have, which fail and cause Cancer.

HIV is a virus, and while humans have manipulated viruses, and have even made phages(Viral agents for Bacteria), we have to my knowledge, never sequenced a virus as complex as HIV in a lab. We have genetic markers for viruses similar to HIV appearing in thousands of species. Viruses are grossly adaptive, and HIV in particular seems to have benefitted from a long existence in other organisms.

I myself believe HIV is a man-made virus, probably created for some form of bioterrorism. If you ever have a chance to see an electron microscopic picture of the actual HIV gene, you will be shocked to see how geometrically perfect it is. It is a sphere that is totally covered with spikes. Each spike has a barb. Its design is perfect for attack, and pretty much protected against being attacked, due to this design.
There is no doubt that this is man-made.
Good question. Something I have thought about quite often.

In a lab--no, I really do not think it to be true but I could be wrong. Cancer has been around for many years. Who is to say that HIV has not been around for years (hundreds of years) With the population growth, travel from country to country, medical research, freer sex, and our news media, perhaps it has just surfaced to be a very known medical problem. Also, I feel that man has indirectly caused a lot of their own problems by new discoveries in the medical field. Medicines seem to have some side effects and who is to say that by using medicine to help one thing--it could indirectly cause adverse reactions (thus HIV)
