Just a question, because obviously there are people out there that believe a male and female who are extremely close should take a risk in a relationship, because they cherish each other's qualities, and whilst those who believe that it would never work out, because their relationship strives off their friendship.

I WAS IN A SITUATION LIKE THAT ONCE. THE GUY AND I WERE FRIENDS FOR 5-6 YEARS, WE WERE THE VERY BEST FRIENDS. THERE WAS A SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN US, THAT WAS VERY STRONG. WE FELL FOR IT AND IT WAS FANTASTIC, BUT THINGS DIDN'T WORK OUT IN THAT DIRECTION. MAYBE WE WERE TOO CLOSE. AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT THEN. WE STAYED FRIENDS BUT THINGS CHANGED.
NOW, I AM MARRIED TO THE MOST WONDERFUL GUY. IT STARTED AS A LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, BUT WE WERE SO SINCERE AND OPEN FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AND WE ALSO BECAME BEST FRIENDS. WE BECOME CLOSER AND CLOSER WITH EACH PASSING MOMENT AND IT'S JUST FANTASTIC.

I think That A relationship is built from friendship. So why couldn't
a girl and guy that are friends have A good relationship. Now it might affect the friendship in some way or another you have to be mature enough for it not to affect your friendship. I mean me and my besy friend have been in A relationship for three years. The reason we have worked so long is because were friends and we promised that if we ever decide to break up we would stay friends no matter what. So to tell you the truth it depends on the individuals taking place in the situatio.

Yes i do and its soTrue. Because you said it ' their relationship strives off their friendship'. If their friendship were to become a relationship, things would definitely change and i don't think either of them would be too happy about it, because they know each other too well. And that puts a dampener on the whole thing.
I think they should remain friends for ever and be happy.

No because you will always view the other person as your best friends which isnt bad but who are you going to talk to when you have relationship problems, that is what best friends are for and it is even better if it is the opposite sex then you will know how your partners mind work or you will get an idea atleast

its hard. sometimes the only thing there is a great chemistry because of the friendship. sadly sometimes even the greatest friendship cannot survive a relationship.

i think friend ship is different and relation ship is different, i feel a male and female can be only friends and i think friends cannot be good husbands or wifes but a husband can be good friend as well as ur husband.
