No, it just means that you have a mouth ulcer on your tounge, or your taste buds are swollen

What you are describing sounds like it could be a mucocele. While not common on the tongue, they do seem to occur there on the tip [I've had them there off and on years ago]. This is caused by a stopping up of the duct that small glands have to release moisture into the mouth. It is self rectifying and usually goes away in a few days as the gland either ruptures or the duct is opened from the pressure buildup.

Sounds familiar! both my dad, myself and my brother get the same thing! we call it the planetary tongue. it is a reaction to certain foods in our case it was anything that had a high level of acidity in it (only in fruits or juices) pineapples hit me the hardest and it can take a couple of days sometimes more for it to go away. for me it has never been serious enough to go see a doc about, but it can be quite pain full sometimes it feels like my tongue is splitting in two! IE. may be an allergic reaction to certain foods (esp. fruits) see what food you have a reaction to. i have also found that excessive smoking gives me the same result, but if you feel it may be something else or it cant seem to go away ....GO SEE THE DOC!!!

It could either be an infection.... or you are allergic to some type of food, normally lumps on the toungue are a sign of too much yeast being in the gut.... this means that you need to cut down on yeast in your diet..
Go see your doctor, so they can run some tests.. good luck

Could be septic taste buds, we all get them from time to time, just get some bonjelle or what ever its called, and a good mouth wash, it should soon pass.

I would have said it was a mouth ulcer or give a patch that may have rubbed on a tooth or something.
