I've never had any problems like this before. Has this happened to anyone else? Will the feeling return? What can I do to make it better? Don't say go to the doctor cuz I don't have insurance.

You need to give your fingers a break every now and then if you use the mouse a lot and do something totally different in motion with your hands and fingers several times a day during a break from the mouse. Having molding clay with you and shaping it with your hands and fingers will work your hands in a way that is like a massage to the tendons, nerves and muscles that have been aggravated by the repetitive motion of your mouse use. Another alternative is to get one of those "tension" squeeze balls or sacks that sports stores and other places sell and have it by your computer. Use it as often as you can to give the muscles, tendons, and nerves an outlet for the abuse the mouse is giving it.

Umm maybe you should go lefty with the mouse and use the other hand. Don't worry about it, if it hasn't happened before then it will go away. If it doesn't within a few weeks you really do need to go to a doctor.

might be the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome.
This has happened to me, but it was multiple fingers
What helped me was to take breaks from using the mouse more often, possibly switching hands, doing other movements with hands, such as squeezing a ball and wearing a wrist brace at night if it got real bad.

It's nerve damage from the pressure. There are special mouse pads available...with hand rests that are padded with gel packs. Try one of those and give it a couple of weeks. I had the same problem and that was my docs advice. It worked.

Stretching out your extensors. What I mean is stretching out your fingers and with the other hand slight pushing it outward.
