I do regret losing my virginity only in the sense that I wished I had waited until I was married. I don't regret who I lost it to, as he is the only guy for me, and I have spent four and a half amazing years with him.
Losing your virginity is such a huge thing, that I really don't think it should be considered lightly. I really believe there is a right person for everyone, and waiting to meet that person (although it may seem as if it takes ages), is worth it, as being with the right person, makes the experience all the more special!
Good luck finding the 'one' x

i do think that there is the right person out there for u somewhere, although they might not be the right person for u 4 the rest of your life. people can change, and drift apart. when i lost my virginity, it was to a guy who i was sure that i'd be with forever. we were both 17, and went out together for about 7 years. i have no regrets, and i'm still good friends with that guy, but we just changed..... i think u are doing the right thing by waiting. it's better than losing it to someone who u don't truly love, or who doesn't want much more than just sex from you.

I certainly do - I was 15 and hated it so much that I didn't have sex for another 2 years. I didn't even love the guy I just bowed down to peer pressure. I wish I had waited cos 2 years later I met a fantastic guy that I spent 5 years with and was gutted that I hadn't saved myself for him.
If I could do it all over again I would wait you will know when the right one comes along and it will be so worth it

Yes I do think there is a 'right' person for everyone. Hang on in there! I lost mine rather stupidly at just 15, and wish I'd kept it. But this choice is solely up to you. Lets face it you can meet people who you think maybe the right person to loose it to, but the relationship could fade. At the end of the day, it's a risk we all take, especially when its your first time. Wait till you feel that the person you are with is the one to loose it with. No-one would mock you for waiting, somwtimes it's the more grown up choice.

I don't regret the person I lost it to or the age
I was 17 and I stayed with the person for 4 years we didn't get on at all wasn't a good match but when you are young you do silly things
The only thing I regret is that I stayed with him for so long

I wish that I had lost mine! Perhaps one day! Like you I am still waiting for the right person!
But to be honest, How do you know if you are with the right person? Especially these days when relationships seem to last 2 seconds!

i think there is definately the right person for everyone but i think it's pretty rare that it's ever the first person you have sex with. Waiting for that special person may take forever or may never happen. I'm not telling you to rush out and lose it for the sake of it but just consider that you may be putting too much pressure on that right person and even if you think it's the right one, it's very rare that they stay that way. Make sure it's someone that you like a lot and someone who respects you in return. It may not be the person you spend the rest of your life with & hoping for this may be unrealistic but that's just my opinion. i don't believe in waiting for marriage for sex so if you do, ignore me.

You do what feels right for you. It dont matter what other people say or their experiences cos everyone's cherry popping happens differently. Half my friends dont regret losing their V-Plates and the other half do. Yes I am included in the second half, however I dont regret anything you just have to learn from it.
You shouldnt go by other people's experiences, you have to do what feels right for you, you could meet someone tomorrow and fall madly in love with them and losing your V-Plates to them you'd never regret, but then you might sleep with someone and regret it.
Your first time, should be with someone you love and trust. Cos your first time is not going to be how it is in the movies, it's going to be a lot of fumbling around, if your a girl, it'll hurt and blokes, you might peak too soon.
Please dont rush into losing your V-Plates, only do it when you feel you are ready, mature enough, and in a loving and stable realtionship with someone you trust.

I waited for the right (kind, understanding, patient) guy to come along, and I was so happy when I gave my virginity to him, that I just burst in tears of joy! I just lay in his arms, feeling overwhelmed with happiness, and so very much in love, it was just the best feeling ever! And it just got better and better over the years :-) I can't imagine how it could have happened any other way!

I don't but my friend lost it to a drugged up prostitute in Amsterdam when he was 18 so it can't get much worse then that can it.
Don't take it so seriously, yes it should mean something, but as long as you know someone quite well, it is not the first date and you trust them reasonably it is ok in my opinion. After all when it boils down to it people do do it for fun.
The average man sleeps with 8 women before they find "the one" whoever that may be.
