Why do people still believe in the Bible when science has already proven that all life came from single cell organisms and not Adam and Eve and God? Darwins theory is more true then Christianity or Islam.

Yes they have already proved this fact, they have bones that are millions of years olf from which humans evolved from. Its not just the one set of bones "Lucy", its now lots of other million year old bones so with all this scientific proof, how could anyone believe in religion? Of course Darwin had a theory but its beyond him now because he didn't have the evidence we have today.

Where did the first cells come from? Look at what cells really are, really just complex molecules.

Because religion is more than just the theory of origin.

Some people still believe in religion because that is the only way they can accept the evil in the world. They need the hope of a better life after death to give them a purpose. Faith often wins over facts because people would prefer to live in denial.
Isn't it frusterating how so many religionists misuse the word 'Theory'? How many times does this need to be explained? There is the word 'theory' that is used in everyday speech - it simply means an idea. But the scientific term 'Theory' is different. Look it up! First there is a hypothesis (basically an idea), then come all of the tests, retests, experiments, observations. Next - comes the Theory, which is based on all of those tests.
Can the same be said about god or religion? No.
Theory is not law - but it is closer to it than something called faith, which is based on emotions, tradition and fear.
And then there is always the dilemma of why christians are perfectly willing to believe that a god has existed forever with no beginning, creator nor end, but they can't accept that the universe came out of amino acids and energy that already existed? Why aren't they asking where god came from?
I wish more people would be open to either possibility and not be so close-minded that they choose to ignore anything that may prove them wrong.
**added later**
Actually, there ARE 'missing links'. Try reading Science magazine, or scientific journals. You won't hear about them in the bible, or at church :)

Maryam, wake up, religion was created by humans too. Anyways, I think physics disproves a Creator more than anything. I mean, throughout history Astronomers were jailed for saying that the Earth is not the center. Then in 1952, Christianity officially proclaimed the Big Bang in accordance with religion, keep in mind that the Big Bang is scientific, oh and a theory. Obviously, there was and will never be a need for a Creator. There was no beginning, there possible is an end, the Universe may or may not have always existed. All we know is the Universe is expanding, and from that we can predict when there was a singularity (not necessarily a beginning, but a relevant beginning yes. Physics students know what I'm talking about, but a bible beater will not). Anything before the singularity is simply unimportant because the laws before that are vastly different than the laws of science we know now. The Bible cannot answer anything without invoking the ultimate cop out : have faith my brother. Eat me.
Where did organisms come from? Try this: where did a creator come from?
And then google the Anthropic Principle. Study it, learn it, breathe it. And remember young Jedi, that Thor was once worshipped as well.
Oh, evolution iis not proven and never will be. It's simple in accordance with Observation. Don't get that confused. You're giving Bible beaters a lifeline with that error.
Science is based on observation, religion is based on mystical feelings. Hmmmmm......

Well to tell you the truth..I believe in God and also in Islam and Budda and their truths but people thinking that man was created only 5000 years ago I don't buy it but I cannot believe that we are monkeys I don't care what the scientist prove or disprove..Actually if they proved it without a doubt where is the missing link they keep talking about..they can't prove it. without it and its missing thats why they call it that..Now I can partially believe that we are maybe related some remote way to primates but evolving from them..I don't think so .I know that we evolved somehow much like alot of other species but not as apes.. something else entirely different ..Its a hard thing to think about much like imagining millions of years ago the giant lizards dominated this earth ..almost unimaginable but well its unimaginable that we wont be anything more than a fossil record one day either and we ruled but something tells me that our rule wont be near as long as the dinosaur .

Sorry doll. You BELIEVE they have proved it.They have not.Darwin's theory was based on finches that are now interbreeding.Darwin was discarded long ago by science.I suggest that you first decide what it is you BELIEVE in before you espouse it.
Science has also proved that it was impossible for such a single celled creature to form in an oxygen atmosphere. The amino acids needed can only form from base elements in an ammonia rich atmosphere. The earth never had one.

Maryam good show. Scientist are as prone to mistakes as the rest of us. Until you can show me a man or a team of men who can devise an experiment that can prove evolution without a doubt then people who believe in evolution should just let creationist alone. But this will never happen because as most evolutionist will tell you the very nature of evolution is outside of empirical science. Which to me sounds like a cop out. And only means that there is no way to prove it.

ONE MISSING LINK!
ya got one?
Adam and Eve is not necessarily the "origin of life"(I don't care what religion you are, just don't swallow the government's BS, for your own sake), but there is no scientific evidence to support evolution beyond genetic similarities. Not to mention... How long did evolution take? Is the sun a star? Don't stars lose a certain amount of size every year because they are burning themselves up? If the sun was millions or billions of years old, wouldn't it already have gone through it's fizzling out stage or explode? (It's a star, it has to do one or the other) Answer these questions and tell me evolution is possible. If you still want to hang on to evolution show me evolution happening today, and give me one solid "missing link". Generations of mutating monkeys must have left entire rudimentary civilzations with half man creatures fossilized somewhere... Oddly enough, all the ancient bones we find are pretty much bones you would find today. Finally, I would like to applaud the American Public Education system for drilling this theory into peoples heads like doctrine. Bang up job fellas, you rock.

Humanoids did decend from the apes, we have a common ancestor. And objects in the three states of matter can evolve to lower states, not animals. And Darwin never said his theorys were impossible, stop disgracing his name. Australopithecus afarensis Australopithecus africanus Paranthropus boisei Paranthropus robustus Homo habilis (small) Homo habilis (large) Homo erectus 'Archaic Homo sapiens' Neanderthals Early modern Homo sapiens

Because science couldn't explain everything right all the time. It's true that science made our life easier but it cannot prove anything beyond human knowledge, since science itself is human made after all. It takes so much more faith that we come from monkeys rather than being created from someone who loves us...
(additional answer: Yeah those cells are complex molecules so what? I don't think God is uncapable of creating them anyway. But if you still want to stick to science, then let it be. I'll stick on to my believes...)

I think you are mistaken ... there is a THEORY that mankind and apes have a common ancestor... but as of yet there is no proof .
There is also a belief in creationalism evolution .. where God created and then we evolved ...
and AS i wasn't there to be a witness to either the creation or the evolution of mankind ..I have to accept that both at the very least are theories ..
as to the facts .. ? who knows,,
there are people who believe that they have wittnessed mircacles and that to them is Proof of God's existance .. am I going to argue with them and tell them that they are wrong ? No because I have no proof that they are wrong.... DO YOU ?
